Filing fees

Whenever you are filing business forms for any purpose with our office, you must attach the required fee. Any application received without payment attached will be returned. Make check payable to the Vermont Secretary of State.

"Domestic Corporations"

$25.00 (per transaction) if the record is communicated in writing and consists of one or two pages.
$25.00 (per transaction) if the record is communicated by another medium authorized by the filing officer.

Number of names:

$2.00 additional to above, for each name more than two, if communicated in writing.

Search request:

$20.00 for each debtor requested and $ .50 per page for copying.

Mortgage filings:

There is no fee with respect to filing the initial financing statement for a mortgage as described in section 9-502(c) which is filed as a fixture filing or as a financing statement covering as- extracted collateral or timber to be cut. However the recording and satisfaction fees of $10.00 per page , that otherwise would be applicable to the record of the mortgage, apply.
